Lava Iris Pro 30 Review

Lava launched its new line of smartphones under the theme of “Art meets Smart” a few days ago. With the new venture the company has promised to deliver high-end smartphone experience at an affordable price tag.The Iris Pro 30, the first phone in the Iris Pro series is quite different from previous Lava smartphones in terms of design and hardware. Can it compete with other phones in the similar range? Let’s find out in the complete review.
Box Contains Following Accessories
  • Lava Iris Pro 30 in black
  • 2 pin 0.3A USB charger
  • Micro USB cable
  • In-ear earphones with mic
  • User manual and information booklet
Screensize and Camera
The first thing you notice about the smartphone is its stunning 4.7-inch HD display with 312 ppi pixel density. The IPS screen is sharp, bright, offers vibrant color output and has great viewing angles. It is a bit glossy and is prone to finger prints, but the sunlight legibility is good. The display also has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. This is one of the best displays we have seen in a smartphone priced under 20k till date.
The design of the phone reminds us of iPhone with curved corners and the design of the earpiece. It has magnesium alloy frame, so the phone weighs just 114 grams.
The Iris Pro 30 has an 8-megapixel camera with a twin-LED flash. Lava tells us the camera is sourced from Samsung and has a backside illuminated (BSI) sensor which means it should be able to capture more detail and work better in low light.
Battery and Android Version
The phone packs a 2000 mAh non-removable Lithium Polymer battery. Thanks to the CABC (Content Adaptive backlight control) screen brightness regulation technology, this automatically reduces screen brightness for better battery life. Lava says that it would offer 30% more battery life, compared to other phones in the similar range. Watching videos doesn’t drain the battery a lot, and battery lasts for a whole day with full charge even with heavy use. It also has a built-in power saving option that lets you save the battery life by turning of WiFi, Bluetooth and other connectivity options, when the battery is low.
Coming to the software part, the phone runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean) which is pretty much stock, with added software features. You have all the Android 4.2 features such as Quick Settings, rich notifications, option to open the camera directly from the lock screen, lockscreen widgets, Daydream and more.
Processor and Memory
As impressive as the Iris Pro 30 looks on the outside, it's what's inside that counts. The processor is a 1.2GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589 which is not exactly the newest kid on the block. It's over a year old, and we've encountered it in other budget phones that like to advertise themselves as quad-core. The processor has an integrated PowerVR Series5XT GPU along with logic for Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth 4.0, Miracast, FM radio and GPS.
Out of 1GB of RAM, you get 971 MB of usable RAM, out of which about 550 MB of RAM is free when the phone is idle.
Out of 4GB of internal storage, you get 1.48 GB of storage for apps and just 930MB for mass storage.
You can also set the SD card as default write disk, if you insert one. You can also move apps from the phone memory to the SD card.
Connectivity and Additional Features
It has dual SIM support with a standard SIM and a micro SIM. Both the SIM cards support 3G, but you can enable 3G on only one SIM, while the other is on 2G. The connectivity features include, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and GPS. It supports USB on-the-go (OTG), but it doesn’t come with a OTG cable in the box.
The four features that Lava is most proud of aren't apps, but settings. The first two relate to call handling: you can flip the phone over to silence it when it rings, and use the proximity sensor to automatically answer calls when you raise the phone to your ear.
The phone has quite a few preloaded apps. You get the usual set of utility apps and the Google Apps including the Chrome browser, apart from the stock Android browser. The Backup and Restore app lets you back up data and apps, so that you can restore it later. Instead of Xolo care seen on Xolo phones, you have Lava Care that lets you contact the customer care center easily.

Karbonn Titanium S9 Review

Karbonn introduced their latest in the Titanium series- Karbonn Titanium S9 with the USP of a huge 5.5″ display. It looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Mega which comes with a little larger display.
I guess someone at Karbonn Mobiles was very patriotic to build up the Indian version of the flop Galaxy Mega. Check out the following Karbonn Titanium S9 review to know if its a hit or a flop.

Box Contains Following Accessories
Screensize and Camera
The Karbonn Titanium S9 comes with a 5.5 inch display, which should provide plentiful screen real estate even for the most demanding users. The biggest advantage of such a screen is realized when the user is browsing the web.
There is 12MP rear camera with flash but on the box its mentioned 13MP, but that hardly matters. There is 5MP front camera too. The rear camera is auto focus and shoots pretty good images. The night streetlight shot also looks good. The camera can record videos in 720p resolution only and the quality is also very good. You can play full HD videos using MX player.
Battery and Android Version
The phone comes with a 2600mAh battery which does sound impressive for a device of this calibre. The battery should have enough juice to take the large-screen phone through one work day, if you’re not an extremely demanding user.
Model comes with Android Version of V4.2.2 which can be further Upgraded via System Updates.
Processor and Memory
There isn’t much of a need to speak about the CPU, since the phone packs the MT6589 from Mediatek which is an extremely popular processor, even more among domestic manufacturers. The processor packs 4 Cortex A7 based cores, all of which are clocked at 1.2 GHz. The CPU is paired with a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU, which makes a very powerful combo.
The handset is loaded with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. There is micro SD card slot that supports 32GB cards. When you switch on the handset for the first time the free RAM is 633MB. Of the 16GB internal space around 1GB is allocated for apps and 13 is available as phone storage. Apps cannot be installed on the external storage. OTG is also not supported
Connectivity and Additional features
Among other features, the Karbonn Titanium features dual SIM features, where both the SIMs can be used at the same time. The phone comes with usual connectivity features like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.
Useful Apps: NoteBook, Backup & Restore, Flipboard, Kingsoft Office.
Extra Apps:  UC Browser, Opera Mini, Karbonn Live, Hungama.
Games: (Only Trial version available)Cricket Fever, Death Racing, Fruit Devil.

Lenovo P780 Review

LENOVO name suggest the how big brand it is.After dominating in Laptop sections. It is now started its hands on mobile sector and no doubt it is giving tough competition to big Brands.lenovo P780 is one of its smartphone in range of 14000.Lets get it to it whether it justifies its brand name or not?
Box contains following Acessories

Screensize and Camera
The Lenovo P780 sports a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels (294ppi) and 16 million colour gamut.
The Lenovo P780 comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front facing one.
The Lenovo P780's SuperCamera app allows you to shoot photos in Auto, Burst, Panorama, Night portrait, HDR, Low light, Macro, Smile Detection and Timer modes.
The front-facing camera on the Lenovo P780 is strictly functional, and can be used for casual video chats.
Battery and Android Version
Battery yes this is the section where all Lenovo phones defeats all their competitors.
The real strength of the phone, however, is its 4,000 mAh battery, which lasts nearly two full days, based on our experience.
The Lenovo P780 runs Android 4.2.1 with a heavily skinned user interface. While the phone retains the same navigation structure of home screens (complete with widgets and app shortcuts), an app launcher and a notifications tray (with toggles for settings), all the UI elements have been tinkered with to make the interface look different from other Android phones.
Processory and Memory
The Lenovo P780 is powered by the quad-core 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 processor with 1GB of RAM, and the PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. There is 4GB of built-in storage, 2.1GB of which is available to the user.
With Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the overall experience of navigation through the interface was pleasant, thanks to the phone's quad-core processor. We did not experience any lag while launching apps, playing games, scrolling web pages or switching between apps. It is safe to say that performance wise, the Lenovo P780 performs adequately. We were able to play games like Jetpack Joyride, Subway Surfers, without encountering any lag. However, we did notice some frame drops in graphics intensive games like Asphalt 7.
Connectivity and Additional Features
Lenovo offers a number of pre-installed apps on the P780, including a File Browser, Voice Recorder, a Backup & Restore utility, CamCard and CamScanner, Flashlight, Kingsoft Office, Route 66 Maps and Navigation, Norton Mobile security software, and the UC Browser. It also comes with games like Asphalt 7, Block Breaker, and Little Big City.
It comes with Dual SIM facility.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD Review

Micromax A116 Canvas HD is the first total HD phone of Micromax company and it has got best response than any other HD phones in that price range.Micromax A116 Canvas HD is the successor to the company's popular budget phablet (large screen phones that are considered to be a phone-tablet hybrid), the A110 Canvas 2.Let's get into it whether this phone has a worth of spending money from our wallet.
Box contains following Accessories

Screensize and Camera
The 5 inch display supports an amazing resolution of 1280×720 pixels (293.72ppi). The viewing angles are really good and I think it does comes with some level of scratch resistant protection just like the A110. The touch is very smooth, in fact better than what I have experienced on the Micromax A110. There is light, Gsensor and proximity sensors. There is no magnetic sensor.
the camera of 8MP resolution can not only record videos in 1080p resolution (3gp video format) but also play it smoothly without any lags. The auto focus is good. There is no panorama option though. When using the video mode the subject gets a bit closer (zoom in). There is LED flash support and a front 2MP camera for video chat.
Battery and Android Version
The phone comes with a 2,000mAh battery, and based on our experience, it will just about last you a full day.Charging is faster via charger. At 93% I got the green light but on the handset its still said charging. I kept it on charger for some more time and it reached 100%.
The handset sails on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS.For further upgradation you have to check with Micromax Customer Center.
Processor and Memory
The Canvas HD is powered by the MediaTek MT6589 quad-core SoC. This is made up of four ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs running at 1.2GHz and a PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. The SoC is fabricated using the 28nm process, so it should sip power rather than gulp it down. The chipset also houses the baseband radios, so there’s no need for a second chip.
It has 1GB RAM onboard, and PowerVR SGX544MP chip for processing graphics. There is 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
The handset is powerful and comes with 1GB RAM. I think it should easily play many high end games. The only issue I see the that the apps / games are stored on the internal storage
Connectivity and Additional Features
The phone dialer does not have the video call button and you need to browse the contacts, select one and you will find the video call icon. The in call speaker is really good, loud and clear. The loud speaker is also loud and clear. This handset supports up to 21Mbps 3G speed (depends on the network ).
The SIM 1 (on call) and then used another phone to call on SIM 2 but could not reach it. I think its dual standby mode and not dual active.
There is 3G, Wi-Fi with hotspot, Bluetooth with tethering, micro USB port with USB tethering and 3.5mm jack. In settings, user profile there is an option to enhance sound output via earphone.
Summary of Features

  • Dual Sim, 3G, Wi-Fi
  • Quad Core, 1.2 GHz Processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 4 GB inbuilt memory
  • 5 inches, 720 x 1280 px display
  • 8 MP Camera with flash
  • Memory Card Supported, upto 32 GB
  • Android, v4.1.2
Now,all lies with you whether you wanted to buy this beautiful phone at this price range of 13,999.
All suggestions are welcomed.

MOTO G Review

Budget smartphones might not attract as much attention as their high-end counterparts, but there is no denying that these devices are in massive demand, especially in markets like India. Motorola's Moto G is an attempt to grab buyers' attention by offering a number of features at an extremely reasonable price.
Now,Motorola's back, and it's kicking off its global smartphone revival with the keenly priced Moto G handset. A mid-range handset with a low-end price tag and Android KitKat.
Its hype or can say popularity recently is always to our ears. Now let's is it really worth buying or not.
Box Contains following Accessories
Price:
A important aspect for users specially Subcontinent where budget phones are in excess.Currently it cost around 13,999 Flipkart price.Let's see whether it has worth on its price.
Android Version:
As it is owned by google you will always get Android update as fast as any phones.MOTO G comes with Android KitKat 4.4
Processor:
The Moto G is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 graphics and therefore you can get a smooth experience while Multitasking and Playing Games with rich Graphics.
The Moto G is the first handset with a quad-core 400.In short, this does not perform like a $179 phone. The speed at which you can cycle through the app drawer is the first indication of the G's quad-core competence.
Screensize:
One of the biggest highlights of the Moto G is its 4.5-inch 720x1280-pixel IPS LCD, which works out to a density of 329 pixels per inch. Notably, the Moto G's screen is a bit sharper than Apple's iPhone 5s, which offers 326ppi.
Motorola has also used Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the Moto G to protect it from scratches. It's worth pointing out that Gorilla Glass is usually found on premium devices priced at Rs. 30,000 and above.
Camera:
The G's main shooter is a modest 5 megapixels. The good news is: What the main camera lacks in resolution, it makes up for in versatility. It'll take some really nice shots in fairly unforgiving conditions. You probably know what we have to say about the 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, as you've heard it all before: It's just fine for the odd, well-lit selfie or Skype call.
It contains HDR, flash, focus control, geotag and sound recording (in video) toggles, as well as switches for the aspect ratio, and panoramic or slow-mo video recording modes.
Sim  and Connectivity Feature:
Peel off the back panel and you can get to the SIM slot, which accepts a Micro-SIM. Motorola has introduced a dual-SIM Moto G variant in India.
Now, Moto G is also equipped with 4G feature unlike at the time of launch.
Memory:
Moto G is equipped with 1 GB RAM which is quite goo for any device to perform at its best in this phone segment.
The Moto G comes with either 8GB or 16GB of built-in storage. On the 8GB model only 5.52GB was user-accessible.
One consolation is that Google is giving away 50GB of free Google for 2 years, may be they thought today no one uses a phone like to that and specially am that one who likes to change phone quite regularly.
No micro-sd card slot is there.
Battery Life:
The Moto G packs a 2070mAh battery which is non-removable and can deliver a mixed usage time of up to 24 hours, according to Motorola.
With heavy usage, which included calls lasting for about two hours, 3G turned on all the time, casual photography and watching a movie for around two hours, an hour of casual gaming (Temple Run 2 and Dead Trigger), and notifications enabled, the device lasted for about 12-13 hours, which was not bad.
Summary of Features:
MOTO G
Pricing                    $179 (8GB), $199 (16GB)

Operating system Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
Moto G is altogether a beautiful phone to buy in 14,000 price range considering all its main features. All depends on you to realise whether it is fit in your range of features.
All suggestions are welcomed.

Nokia Lumia 720 Review

Nokia Lumia 720 is one of Lumia series mobile which is comesbetween Nokia Lumia 620 and Nokia Lumia 820 means its sandwiched between both this mobiles.Announced 2013, February
Status Available. Released 2013, AprilIt have its unique Features.Let's see whether Nokia Lumia justifies its value for money.
Box Contains Following Accessories
  • Nokia Lumia 720
  • USB charging wall adapter
  • microUSB to USB cable
  • Standard Wired Headset
  • SIM/microSD slot Key
  • Quick guide, Manual
Screensize and camera
Nokia Lumia 720 comes with a 4.3-inch display of 480x800 pixels resolution, translating to a density of 217 pixels per inch. While that doesn't sound impressive, the real life experience is quite good.
It's less-than-HD resolution of 800x480 pixels, which boils down to 217 pixels per inch,Overall, while we sure wish the 720 sported a higher resolution display, there's no doubting the quality of this one.
The Lumia 720 comes with a 6.7-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics that is a solid performer overall. The camera takes good photos outdoors when there's plenty of light.
The LED flash works surprisingly well, and illuminates the subjects within its range uniformly.
Battery Life
The Lumia 720 has a non-removable 2,000mAh battery. The battery size is the same as the one in the Lumia 920 and even bigger than what HTC provides with the 8X.
The Nokia Lumia 720 is unlikely to need a bail out in the middle of the day as far as battery life is concerned. On a full charge, we were able to get more than 26 hours before reaching for the charger, with the phone on 3G all the time and the screen set to full brightness.
Processor and Memory
The Lumia 720 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 SoC with a 1GHz dual-core Krait CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. In terms if memory, it has 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage space, out of which only about 3GB is available to the user.
You’ll be glad to know then that the phone also has a microSD card slot.
RAM of 512 MB is quite disappointing in this range of phone, but of surprise its handles quite well the high end games.
Connectivity and Additional Features
In terms of connectivity, the phone has 3G/HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ab/g/n, NFC, A-GPS and GLONASS.
Standard apps like Internet Explorer, Office, One Note, Wallet, and the experience is no different than any other Windows Phone 8 device.
We are big fans of the Transfer My Data app, which imported contacts and messages from our old Nokia phone over Bluetooth with minimum fuss. Another one of our personal favourites, the Drive app performs great as ever, and it remains our preferred navigation app on any platform, even above Google Maps. Nokia Music - with free, downloadable, DRM-free music for a year, is always well received as well.

Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 Review

The latest Canvas smartphone, the Canvas Turbo A250, pushes the envelope a bit further, being the Indian smartphone vendor’s first smartphone with a full-HD 1080p display. Micromax is so confident of the Canvas Turbo that it has roped in Hugh Jackman as its brand ambassador, the first time a local brand has roped in a Hollywood star. Of course, that would come in handy to connect with audiences abroad as Micromax embarks on its expansion plans starting with Eastern Europe, but it also raises expectations from the Canvas Turbo. Does the Turbo really that smartphone people should look against Samsung.Let's chect it out.
BOX contains Following Accessories
Screensize and Camera
The Micromax Canvas Turbo comes with a 5-inch full-HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution and pixel density of 440ppi.Design-wise, the Canvas Turbo breaks the monotony, and looks and feels a little different from other Canvas phones.
The Micromax Canvas Turbo sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.
Micromax offers its own camera app that includes Normal, HDR, Smile detection, Panorama and Scene detection shot modes. It also offers a burst mode, letting users click up to 99 shots at once, in addition to GIF Animation, 3D Panorama and Remove Object modes.
Overall, the cameras on the Canvas Turbo are strictly average for a phone in this segment.

Battery and Android Version
The Micromax Canvas Turbo runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, which is a very recent version of the OS and comes with some skinned elements of the UI like the app icons.
The Canvas Turbo comes with a 2,000mAh battery, and based on our experience, it will last you a full day. With medium to heavy usage, including 1-1.5 hours of phone calls, two e-mail accounts with push notifications, screen at maximum brightness, playing some music and video clips (about an hour), casual web browsing, Twitter notifications and WhatsApp chats, the phone lasted 8-9 hours.

Processors and Memory
The phone comes with a MediaTek 6589T quad-core Cortex A7 chipset clocking at 1.5GHz and PowerVR SGX544 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM.Yes,its 2 GB Ram so better multitasking and Games will run more smoothly.
It provides 16GB of internal memory space, out of which 13.5GB is actually available to use.No micro sd slot is present thats can be disadvantage of this phone still 13.5 GB is more than enough for average users.

Connectivity and Additional Features
In addition to other features the Canvas Turbo also includes an iFloat Tray, a circular assistive button that stays on the screen and offers shortcuts for launching the Phone, SMS, Video Player and Browser apps in floating mode for easier multitasking. For instance you can read and reply to an SMS while using another app, without switching to the SMS app through its floating app.
In terms of overall usage, it did not face any noticeable cellular network problems like low reception or call drops. The voice quality during calls are decent with no complaints on either side of the call.

The USB OTG support will however simplify storage issues to a large extent as it allows you to store heavy content on a flash drive and directly connect it to your smartphone.
Processor and Battery:
The Xolo Q1000 Opus employs Broadcom’s BCM23550 quad core chipset with 4 cores based on Cortex A7 ARM architecture clocked at 1.2 GHz. The NEON technology incorporated in this chipset makes it capable of supporting large number of video codecs and also giving you faster multimedia performance.

The Standby time of up to 700 h (2G) and up to 526 h (3G) is also comfortably above average in this price range. This is better than what most other phones are offering at this price range.
Display and Other Features:
The IPS LCD display is 5 inches in size and sports 480 x 854 pixel FWVGA resolution which amounts to 196 pixels per inches. The display is large in size, but your texts will be softer.

Xolo Q1000 Opus will support Dual SIM functionality and will accept 2 Mini SIM cards.First sim supports 3G and second will not.The RAM capacity of 1 GB is sufficient for smooth multitasking.
Looks and Connectivity:
The Xolo Q1000 Opus looks like conventional Xolo Handset with bulging camera module at the back. The body dimensions are 143.3 x 72.9 x 9 mm. The looks are quite similar to Xolo Q1000, but the camera module and proximity sensor are situated on the same side of the ear piece on the front side.
Connectivity features include 3G, HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.
